- 1 cup Yellow Cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3 tbsp Bacon Jam ( see previous recipe)
- 2 pats butter
- Bacon grease (optional)
