Mint Julip Mocktail
I’m missing New Orleans and I love mint. This mocktail created by Lunatic Soup brings me back to bands playing in the street, beignets, and streetcars. I’m in New York, so streetcars are a novelty and also beignets. Winter, summer, spring and fall, this drink works for every season. You can top it off with a bit of the old spirit, but I think it’s fine just the way it is.
Bloody Caesar Mocktail
We can debate forever if dry January is the way to go, but that doesn’t mean brunch is going away. Everyone I know loves a Bloody Mary at brunch and it may be because they’ve partied a little too hard the night before, but we have to admit it’s a good-looking cocktail. I like the extra spicy punch you get from a Bloody Caesar and asked Lunatic Soup to give us their version of this classic without the alcohol. But don’t get it twisted. You can still top it off with a shot or two. Whether you are dry or continuing with the madness, this is a great recipe. Cheers to the New Year!
HOLIDAY PARTY PUNCH
Skip the role of bartender because everyone loves a punch around the holiday! Easy to make, easy to self-serve, and when done up correctly is tasty and shouldn’t leave you flat on your butt, even if you have an extra glass or two. This holiday punch is an old favorite and will be a hit with your guests. It goes fast so make an extra jug!
